Sports, Games And Recreational Activities
The DABOSS Polytechnic, IDOMINASI, Osun State takes very keen interest in the staff and students health, physical fitness and welfare. Through the Sports unit of the Student Affairs Division of the institution it plans, organizes and executes all the sports programme for both internal (intramural) and external (extramural) engagements.
The intramural sports programme of the Polytechnic encourages mass participation. This is achieved through inter-departmental, inter-school and inter-hostel sports competitions. Star athletes (Males and Females) who represent the Polytechnic in extramural/external sports programme are scouted for during these competitions. The following sports and facilities abound for your wide choice of activities.
These are Football (Soccer), Volleyball, Basketball, Tennis, Hockey Handball and Athletics (Track and Field Events).
These include Badminton, Chess, Table Tennis, Monopoly, Scrabble, Draught, Ludo, Squash, Racket, Billiard etc. Participation in the above sports are open to both male and female students. The Polytechnic Management approved compulsory free period for sporting activities, which commences from 4.00pm to 6.30pm.
- Admission into a Nemie High School Secondary School is ordinarily through the NEMIE HIGH SCHOOL Common Entrance Examination. The admission process consist of written entrance examination and minimum pass mark of 40%.
- A candidate, who accepts admission to a Nemie High School, by that fact, accepts to be trained according to the NEMIE HIGH SCHOOL system of education and the national Education policy applicable to Osun state.
- Parents and guardians whose wards are admitted into a Nemie High School thereby undertake to co-operate fully and partner with the school Management in the education of their wards. They become obliged to be active members of the Parent-Teacher Association (PTA).
- An offer of admission to a Nemie High School should be accepted effectively within thirty days from the date of the offer of admission.
